Radford Community Fest brings live music, 100+ vendors and family activities to downtown Radford Saturday
Radford, VA (08/19/2026) — Radford University and the City of Radford will welcome the community to downtown Radford this Saturday, Aug. 22, for the annual Radford Community Fest, a free celebration bringing together the university, the city and communities from throughout the region.
WHAT
Radford Community Fest will fill East Main Street with more than 100 local and regional vendors, food trucks, live music and entertainment, street performers, community organizations, downtown businesses and activities for all ages.
The festival will also feature a Kids' Zone with games, crafts, lessons and inflatables, along with performances and demonstrations throughout the day.

ENTERTAINMENT HIGHLIGHTS
The Main Stage will feature:
- Noon: The Red Ferns - local bluegrass and acoustic folk
- 2:15 p.m.: The Legacy Motown Revue
- 4:30 p.m.: Cassette Rewind - "Born in the '80s, raised on radio"
- A new Community Stage will also feature a Radford City Police Department canine demonstration at 1:30 p.m. and Derek Wagner Dance Studio performances at 3:45 p.m. The Fluidity Performance Troupe will perform throughout the day.
