Radford, Va. - In a game that was tightly contested the entire way, the Radford volleyball team fell to Presbyterian 3-2 in a Big South Conference matchup Saturday afternoon at the Dedmon Center.

Presbyterian won the first set 25-22, as neither team led by more than three points. In the second set, Radford rallied to win 25-23, highlighted by four kills from senior Samantha Reitz.

The two teams alternated victories in sets three and four. In the deciding game, the Blue Hose were able to pull away, scoring five of the first six points en route to a 15-9 victory.

Radford was paced by sophomore Emily Dykes, who notched 12 kills.

KEY STATS

The Highlanders had a balanced effort in setting up their teammates, as Logan Williams had 21 assists while Trinity Burge chipped in with 19 of her own. Taylor Moore had a season-high 19 digs. This was the first time a Radford game went five sets since a 3-2 setback to Norfolk State on Sep. 17.
