Media Advisory: Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and Exclusive Tour of the Artis Center for Adaptive Innovation and Creativity

What:
Radford University is pleased to invite members of the media to an exclusive tour and later ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly completed Artis Center for Adaptive Innovation and Creativity. This state-of-the-art facility is the largest academic building on campus and represents the most significant capital construction project in the university's history.
When:

Details:
The Artis Center is designed to merge the arts, health sciences, and technology in a cutting-edge teaching environment, fostering creativity and innovation. This 178,000-square-foot complex will serve as a hub for students in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, as well as those in the Waldron College of Health and Human Services and the College of Nursing.
Reporters are invited to join a media-only tour of the facility at 1 PM, where they will have the opportunity to explore the building's more than 60 distinct learning spaces, including a 500-seat proscenium theatre, a large active-learning classroom for nursing, and specialized studios for dance, ceramics, and music education.
Following the tour, media representatives are encouraged to stay for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 PM, where the Radford University Board of Visitors and President Bret Danilowicz will formally dedicate the Artis Center. A reception and additional tours will follow the program.
