Media Advisory: Radford University to unveil CARES Mobile Health Clinic
Radford, VA (05/13/2026) — Radford University will host a special key hand-off ceremony and launch event for the new CARES Mobile Health Clinic (MHC) on Friday, May 15, recognizing the clinic's transition into active community service across Southwest Virginia.
The event will celebrate the partnership between Radford University, Anthem HealthKeepers Plus, New River Valley Community Services and the Virginia Department of Health New River District. The ceremony will formally recognize the hand-off of the mobile clinic from Anthem HealthKeepers Plus and highlight the clinic's role in expanding maternal health services, preventive care and equitable access to healthcare throughout the New River Valley, Roanoke Valley and Southwest Virginia.
The event will take place in conjunction with a Maternal Health Mother's Day Screening Event.
