Media Advisory: Radford University Student Connection Days

by Justin Ward

Radford, VA (08/18/2023) — In addition to annual move-in at Radford University, incoming students are welcomed with new activites, celebrations and events to introduce them to life as a Highlander. Friday, Aug. 18, is a day we welcome reporters also to view these new welcome week events.

This new welcome to new freshman and transfer students who moved in Tuesday and Wednesday is called Student Connection Days covering three days total and ending Saturday.

During the day Friday, students will spend time with faculty outside the classroom, creative vision boards for themselves in our Career and Talent Development office, explore undergraduate research opportunities and decorate academic planners in the Library.

The day ends with New Student Conovcation at 4 p.m., a class photo at 4:45 p.m., and a community picnic at 5 p.m.

Please let Justin Ward know if a member of your organization is interested in covering any of our welcome back events.
