Media Advisory: Radford University and New River Community College to sign MOU supporting Tartan Transfer students

Radford, VA (12/15/2025) — Event Date: Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025

Time: 10 a.m.

Location: New River Community College - Godbey Hall, Room 162B, Dublin, Va.

Radford University and New River Community College (NRCC) will hold a signing event on Wednesday, Dec. 17, to formalize a new partnership that expands advising support for NRCC students preparing to transfer to Radford through the Tartan Transfer program.

As part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), NRCC and Radford will jointly support a new advisor position, shared 50/50 between the institutions. This advisor will be embedded at NRCC and work directly with students intending to continue their education at Radford. The role complements the existing Tartan Transfer advisor and strengthens the pathway between the two institutions.

Media Availability

Radford University President Bret Danilowicz and NRCC President Robert Brandon will participate in the signing ceremony and offer remarks. Both presidents will be available for interviews immediately following the event.
