Donna Weaver McCloskey selected as dean of Radford University's Davis College of Business and Economics
Radford, VA (06/14/2024) — Radford University is pleased to announce Donna Weaver McCloskey, Ph.D., as the new dean of the Davis College of Business and Economics, effective July 10. McCloskey brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to education, community engagement and student success to her new role.
McCloskey has demonstrated a deep understanding of academia and its practical applications with her distinguished career, including her most recent role as the associate dean of undergraduate programs at Widener University. As a professor of management, she has emphasized the importance of preparing students for the professional world while encouraging them to pursue academic excellence.
"There are so many things that attracted me to this opportunity at the Davis College of Business and Economics at Radford University including the dynamic leadership of President Danilowicz and Provost Usher, the strong commitment to experiential learning, innovative academic programs, student success, community engagement and building strong career outcomes," McCloskey said. McCloskey earned a Ph.D. in business administration from Drexel University, an MBA in finance from Widener University and a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Delaware.
