Radford University opens new coworking space downtown

A dynamic office space for entrepreneurs, creatives and remote workers

Radford, VA (05/27/2025) — Radford University has launched a new coworking space, CoWorks@The HUB, in downtown Radford. This spacious facility is designed to house creativity, collaboration and innovation among freelancers, startups, remote workers and small businesses while connecting them to university resources and student talent.

Members enjoy access seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., with amenities that include high-speed internet, meeting room time, mailbox service, printing and copying allowances, coffee, shared kitchen access and parking.

"At the intersection of innovation and community, we're creating more than just a workspace - we're building a launchpad for local entrepreneurship," said Angela Joyner, vice president of economic development and corporate education. "Radford University's new coworking space will serve as the connection point where small businesses find resources, entrepreneurs discover inspiration and students gain real-world experience. Together, we're transforming ideas into impact that resonates throughout our community."

Membership options include:

  • Private offices - $450/month
  • Dedicated desks - $250/month
  • Flex seating - $140/month
  • Day passes - $20/day
  • Club passes - $80 for five-day bundle
  • As an introductory offer, free day passes are available for the first month of CoWorks' opening for people who are interested in using the space.

Meeting spaces, including an executive room, strategy room and huddle rooms, are fully equipped with Zoom, TVs and whiteboards and are available for both members and non-members.

Conveniently positioned within walking distance to campus, restaurants, coffee shops and public transit, CoWorks is ideal for professionals who want connectivity to downtown Radford and university partnerships. Members are also encouraged to engage with Radford students through internships and class projects, creating meaningful opportunities for both professional and academic development.

In partnership with the Greater Roanoke and New River Valley Small Business Development Center, CoWorks will also host office hours for free small business counseling and education.
